Here is the tutorial: http://media.putfile.com/Ubuntu-Linux—Embedded-Terminal-in-the-desktop—Tutorial
And here is how it looks after you’re done: http://media.putfile.com/Embedded-terminal—Ubuntu-Linux
This is what the .sh file suppose to have in it (so you can just copy/paste it):
#!/bin/bash
sleep 20
gnome-terminal –window-with-profile=trans &
Note: You need Compiz and desktop effects enabled for this to work!
Recunosc, unul dintre motivele pentru care am facut acest tutorial a fost sa asculte lumea melodia “Keeper of the seven keys”… prea tare Helloween
(uitati-va la video… si ascultati
)

Can you please tell me what the system monitoring/performance application is that you have running on the desktop in that video/screenshot is?
It’s called conky
Thanks, oddly enough I happened to come across this site while searching on how to embed a similar program into the desktop, conky does it for me, and offers greater functionality. Thanks again
You’re welcome.
