How to install Firefox 3.1b2 in Ubuntu (from repo)
Go to System > Administration > Software Sources, to the Third-Party Software tab and add this repository:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/fta/ubuntu intrepid main
click on Close, open a terminal and type: sudo apt-get update
Then, go to System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager and search for Firefox, select version 3.1 to be installed (it will also install additional files). After install is complete, open your file browser (because Firefox 3.1 does not create a shortcut) and navigate to /usr/lib/firefox-3.1b2. To open FIrefox 3.1, double click firefox-3.1.
To make a shortcut, simply drag firefox-3.1 to one of your panels.

kero ter este site no meu pc e muito bom, facilde entender.
This is very helpful except no key was provided so it won’t grab that package…any suggestions? Typically when you add a source to repo aren’t you supposed to have some Public Key?
I know but i didn’t find the key… sorry.
And i found out that: “there are no gpg keys for launchpad repos… either use them without gpg keys or dont
”
From here: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1045283.html
Now i found out how: use these instructions:
https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA#Adding%20a%20PPA%20to%20your%20Ubuntu%20reposi%20tories
and this key: http://keyserver.ubuntu.com:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x632D16BB0C713DA6
Brilliant Thanks!
